Small space living, how to make it work for you.

So the topic today is how you can make your 920sqft home feel like it’s a lot bigger by adding a few things and taking a few things away.  Small spaces are sometimes hard to handle with all the things you already have and what you’re given over time. It can feel like you’re in the hoarders club. I’ve been there too. What I have done to make me feel like I have more space than I do:

 1) I use any wall space that I can to add the feel of more space.  One way is adding a few shelves in rooms like the kitchen and bathrooms to give you more storage space and let’s face it walls in those rooms don’t get used that often, adding shelves in those rooms adds more to your living area, but can if you use the wrong color of paint make it feel smaller then it is in there (so be careful about that).

 2) another way you can save on space is by getting rid of anything that you don’t use all the time ( and we all have those things that are just getting dusty in the back corner), I would even go as far to say clothing that you have that you’re not going to wear can even go. I just went through everything in my home and down sized the whole house to save me some space and clothing was a big one for me.

3) now if you have kids I know that this can be a hard thing to do or think about doing, but those toys can be in the way (let’s face it they have so many and get more every year anyhow) but while they are out of the house just take the time to go thought and get rid of the toys that you know for a fact they don’t play with anymore, or the ones that don’t work anymore. You will see lots of space for your kids in their room by doing this.

 4) last one for this time is adding so form of hangers in your kitchen to hang pots and pans if you can that will help add more space for sure.  I add some in mine and now I have more room for the big pots that I couldn’t hang and other big kitchen things.

That’s all for this time hope I could help you out today. Thanks for reading.
